Binding: Full polished calf. Triple ruled in gilt with gilt rosettes in each corner of front and back covers. Adjacent to this ruling is a triple gilt rule with rosettes in blind. The dentelles and the 6 edges of the front and back covers have a lovely gilt pattern of circles and horizontal lines. At the center of each front and back covers is a gilt medallion with a coat of arms encircled by the words in gilt: Musgrade de Edenhall. Marbled end papers. AEG. The spine has 5 raised bands with elaborate tooling on the 6 panels
Condition: Internally almost on foxing to text pages. Most of the engravings are fresh and free of foxing. Spines lack the original leather labels. One hinge starting on upper front cover of Volume 3. internally fine. Bindings show a little wear
